Chiefs Message

I am very proud and humbled to serve as Fire Chief of the Bourne Fire/Rescue & Emergency Services Department.  The Firefighter/Paramedics and Firefighter/ Emergency Medical Technicians of this department are very dedicated, hardworking and compassionate individuals that strive to provide the best possible services to the community.   Since my first day on the department, I am constantly reminded how our staff goes above and beyond each day to provide the best emergency and non emergency services they can to our community.

As a young child, I was fortunate to grow up in Sagamore and attended elementary school in Sagamore Beach, before my family moved to Wareham.   Prior to becoming Bourne’s Chief, I served with the Wareham Fire Department and most recently as the Fire Prevention Officer with the Hyannis Fire Department.  I am truly honored to return to this community that I love to serve as your Fire Chief.

Bourne Fire/Rescue & Emergency Services has not had a Fire Prevention Officer for several years and I believe fire prevention is the key to making Bourne a safer community. I am confident that my background in fire prevention will serve our department and community well in this regard.   My goals as your Chief are to provide the citizens with the most effective and cost efficient emergency services available and ensure that we always strive to make our community safer for our residents, visitors and firefighters.

I intend to strengthen our department’s community ties, expand our department’s community outreach and provide education and prevention activities and enforcement that move our community forward.  I look forward to working with our residents, businesses and elected officials to ensure that we continue to provide first class emergency, non emergency and fire prevention services to our residents

If you ever need assistance, information or have questions, please do not hesitate to contact Bourne Fire/Rescue & Emergency Services for assistance.
